The Breakfast Club
This month, as part of Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink 2016, Tourism NI is celebrating the most important meal of the day: Breakfast.
The Dufferin Coaching Inn is renowned for our breakfasts. If you’ve resolved to be healthier, our hearty muesli dressed with greek yoghurt, local seasonal fruit, and toasted nuts, all drizzled with local honey, will have you feeling fresh as a daisy. Another of our guests’ favourites for fuelling up first thing is our organic White Oats porridge served with fresh cream and honey – a perfect stodgy breakfast to kick off a day of golfing or hill walking.
How do you like your eggs in the morning? We like ours fresh and locally farmed. County Down produces some of the tastiest eggs. Just let us know if you like them served scrambled, poached, or as an omelette and we’ll get cracking.
Get involved in Ulster FRYday on Friday 29th January by cooking up this quintessential Northern Irish dish using only local produce and tweeting a picture with #UlsterFRYday. Our signature Coaching Inn Ulster Fry is made using sausages and bacon from neighbourhood farm shops like Pheasant Hill Farm, County Down home-grown mushrooms and tomatoes, and scrumptious soda farls from the nearby Hot Cross Bakery.
